Shall I compare thee to my favorite cappuccino?
No, thou art more potent and far more addicting
I thought I could withstand and resist thy seductive beauty
But I am powerless so to thou I will cling,
Mesmerized, enchanted, starstruck, drawn back in,
I left in October but it’s March so I’ve returned with chagrin
But also with hope
If only this poem were a joke…
